July 16, 2007 Nice was nice

Today we arrived in Nice, for relaxation at a little slower pace. After we got settled into our room, which resembled a medium sized closet, but with a window. Some of us went down to the beach for a little swim. The water wasn't bad, a little cold for some, but worth the swim. Being a little hungry at this point, after stopping back at the room, I stopped at a KFC around the corner from the hotel. After this I waited to see what everyone had planned for the evening. Of course the consensus was to find a pub. We wondered down closer to the sea, along the way seeing a very entertaining break dance group. I was quite impressed with them, it was like Circus De Soli on the street. We finally made it to a pub called the Kings Pub, and filled the place with almost our whole group. I liked the live music which added a 'nice' ambiance to the place, the girls seemed to like the waiters. We didn't leave the fun until 2am. On the way back our small group walked by some of the construction on the main street back to the hotel, and we caught up with some drunk guys that continually yelled "Get down", and then proceeded to lay down on the grown. I don't know what they were drinking, but it must have been some strong stuff. Finally we made it back to the hotel to catch a little sleep before an early start the next day, although not as early as we had been getting up.
